Alcohol - Only for LOSERS!

Alcohol named by independent scientists and users of a wide range of recreational drugs as the 5th most harmful drug available on streets of modern cities

Scientists at the University College London alongside the now EX -Chair of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs Act in Britain. I say Ex not because of choice but on behalf of folly.

The incredible gesture of stupidity handed out by British Home Secretary Alan Johnson on November 1st 2009 can be put down to what can only be described as a knee jerk reaction to someone standing up to a bully.

Proffessor David Nutt's unfair dismissal can be followed all over the internet like on Mark Easton's BBC page  www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thereporters/markeaston/2009/11/why_was_david_nutt_sacked.html this is a good one to start the ball rolling.

Then there is the present 28, 600 members strong Face Book page www.facebook.com/home.php which allows us to SUPPORT EVIDENCE BASED DRUGS POLICIES NOT just in Britain but all over the world.

Basically what happened was.... over a decade or so ago the Brittish decided that they should set up an advisory council of independent scientists who's job ir would be to research the different drugs available, report on the harms and advise the polititions about these harms in relation to the drugs policy of the country.

Proffessor Nutt and his team had been ignored before in relation to the classification of MDMA or ecstacy and in relation to cannabis being re-classified from a 'C'  back to a 'B' not so long ago. But this time the brave Proffessor Nutt earned more than his title by standing up and telling the truth about the policies relating to drugs not just in England but everywhere.

Im not quoting or anything now but he basically disassociated science from the present economic based drugs policy demanding that the government admit that their policies were based either on moral issues or economic issues but they most definately not based anywhere even loosly around science.

If the policies were based on scientific evidence that was not corrupted by funding that came directly or indirectly from pharmaceutical corperations or alcohol corperations or governments with interests in either then alcohol would be a class 'A' drug and cannabis would be class 'D' or maybe 'C'

On a rational based scale of harm Alcohol comes in 5th in line.  Slightly worse than alcohol was Methadone, cocaine, crack and heroin.

Cannabis came in closer to the other end of the scale and was a couple of slots worse than mild stimulants such as coffee.

I know you all know that alcohol is bad... I knew it when I spent my spare time and money getting drunk, but do you really know HOW BAD it is? Basically its AS BAD for you as you feel it is on Sunday mornings! every time! and thats just the physical effects.

The most shocking thing about alcohol I have ever heard is that its regular use... as in once a week or more... is detrimental to our emotional development. I go on about this in my crash course blog

So alcohol is potentially as bad as heroin... so why dont dealers of alcohol have the law come down heavy on them when they aggrassively sell to underage or intoxicated customers... why is a heroin addict a criminal and an alcoholic someone who has an excuse for being a wanker... and why is someone that minds their own business and smokes some weed a 'scum bag'

They have linked cannabis in the past to psychosis and that thing I can t spell... schizophrenia... but basically all the evidence to support that claim has been quashed...  Thats not to mention all the positive effects cannabis can claim on over 200 illnesses.. What does alcohol do? NOTING except add power to the DIVIDE AND CONQUER method of integration.

So to add insult to injury instead of tking a fresh look at our drugs policy in relation particularly alcohol in light of this new information our press has decided to to run with what I believe to be a blatent smoke screen bringing up scaring issues of sexual abuse by religious orders and oppressors. Now dont gey me wrong all the people that were abused by clergy... from what I can make out was acyually everybody who went to school before corperal punishment was banned although some of you had it rougher than others... The average experience compared to todays standards was chargable of an offence so whats the big fuss about? Nobody COULD argue that these BASTARDS dont deserve life in prison.... My question is why now? why is there any question about it? and what about alcohol?

Is it because our country would collapse without the alcohol trade? If all drugs were legal but the class A drugs were controlled by proffessionals then what would happen to our police forces?... our prisons... our pubs?  Well they would all have a lot less to do thats for sure. In Portugal this approach has proven very successful and in Holland they are renting out their prisons!

I believe the DULLNESS of our society causes drug dependancy, whether this is a legal drug or illegal drug is irrelevent. We all need a cruch because our strict education system has raped our minds of all our economically driven resources and left creativity out in the cold. we should be writting, painting, singing, acting, loving life in our spare time but instead we spend it screaming at a tv set in a dark pub on summer days... SHAME! Shame on those that choose to spend their free time like this ...Shame on the dealers that spread their evil drug alcohol...Shame on our government that allows this to happen... Shame on our Health Serivice Executive that FAILS to warn strongly enough gainst it and hides basic facts about the relevent harmlessness of other illegal substances... Shame on you for ignoring this message!.. if you do :D

please take this survey... its an international survey of drug users.... INCLUDING ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO! so if you are a user, ex-user... whatever tell us what you think!
