First Live Mic Market Gig

Saturday November 21st saw the first Live Mic Market gig take place.... a day gig alcohol free... music centred... beautiful!!! Thanks to Ciara Ashmore and Cillian Foster doing seperate sets. I got the whole thing on video and to my amazement the sound on the handy cam was preety much as good as can be got. check out cillians stuff! Thanks to Kim for so much effort doing his thing and getting the clips up onto youtube...

Art in all its forms for me is like the only thing that will always be mine. Nobody can take it from me. Not just that but its the one thing in my life that gets me through the tough times... it turns a bad thing good and a good thing even better. Let us all take some blessing in the coming times of possible hardship. We have time on our hands once again. Dont waste it. Use it. explore your artistic side... paint, write, sing, dust off that guitar of yours that used to bring you so much pleasure, indulge yourself....you might just enjoy it! x

Live Mic Live Arts Business Plan Update

This is where I am at with the Live Mic Live Arts Centre Business Plan.......

I think the last time I ranted I had been down several avenues of inquiry which had lead me nowhere very exciting. I had drafted the outline of my business idea and taken it to the County Wicklow Enterprise board and left there armed with the confidence to keep at it.

So now its still not finished but its getting there... Ive read Brian O'Kanes... Starting a Business in Ireland.... and am booked in for a free seminar he is giving on Monday September 7th in the Glenview Hotel, Co. Wicklow..... strangely excited about that....

Just to keep any interested parties up to date, its been an exciting week for Live Mic. I attended all of Amateur Generations Acoustic Nights in Arklow Visual Arts Centre and it was so much fun. Id like to take this opportunity to thank Jenny O'Kelly and Jenny Collins for having me onboard.
